We started serving the Joplin, MO area roughly 2 years ago ( see video ). Since then we have developed great relationships with our Joplin customers and have become a part of the Joplin community through our weekly trips.
And then on April 22, horrific tornadoes blew through the Joplin area, leaving behind death, destruction and despair. You can read an first-hand account of the storm from a storm-chaser here.
And so last Saturday, our church, like many churches in the area, took a trip to Joplin to help with the clean-up efforts. Without writing any more, I'll let the videos and pics below give you an idea of the enormity of the job Joplin faces in getting back to some sort of normal.
