This week we have some fun things going on, one of which is our paper promotion. This is a great way to save money and try some products you might not be taking from United Linen. Did you you know we have bathroom tissue, Paper Roll towels and Jumbo Jr bathroom tissue? That's just some of the awesome paper products we carry. If you are a customer of United Linen, check the back of your invoice for our Bottom Line 30% off paper offer. Remember, the offer ends this week so take a look.
Also starting this week, we launched our scavenger hunt for Oklahoma Restaurant Assoc trade show attendees. In the issue that just came out, we have a full page ad on the inside cover. We are excited about how nice it looks. Good job Gordon and all the folks at Nightowl Publishing. This is the first time we've taken out a full page ad.
(photo added 7/21/10 3:13pm) Anyway, at the bottom of the page is a QR Code or tag. This tag, when scanned with a smart phone, will take you to a video that explains the scavenger hunt and how to play. We thought it would be fun to create a game that culminates at the trade show since this year's theme is GAME ON! To be able to scan the tag, we even put the link to the website where you can go to download the app to enable your phone to read the tag. Be sure and let us know what you think of the game and we hope you play along.
And last but not least, we are headed to the Odyssey de Culinaire dining event in Tulsa, July 29th. This is a presentation by some of Oklahoma's finest chefs and the food, if it's anything like last year, will be incredible. Chefs from Oklahoma City will be coming to Tulsa to prepare the dishes, such as Christine Dowd of Trattoria il Centro, Ryan Parrott, Iguana Mexican Grill, Brad Evers, Gallardia Country Club, Cally Johnson and Kathryn Mathis of Big Truck Tacos and David Henry of The Tasting Room & Lobby Bar. The event will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa with a Wine Reception at 6 and Dinner at 7:00pm
We'll be sure and take lots of pictures and share in a future post.

I just got the new HELL'S KITCHEN game for Nintendo DS and man is it wild. I'm not sure I like getting chewed out by Gordon Ramsey, but the game does a fantatic job of recreating the restaurant scene and what it takes to juggle all the aspects of cooking in the kitchen and managing the dining room. I've only played it through "Day 2" and at this point I'm rated as a Junior Cook. Oh well...there are more "days" left and I am determined to have the most successful restaurant, even if it is only digital one.
For you foodies out there, there are 35 authentic Chef Ramsay recipies that come along with the game.
Is anyone else playing this game? What od you think about the concept and how the game plays? I would like to hear from someone who works in a restaurant and get your perspective on how close this game gets to the real thing.
